ABL scientists have focused on the standardization and optimization of protocols for the analysis of systemic and mucosal immune responses. Their expertise in mucosal immunology has enabled ABL to extend the immunological evaluations of candidate vaccines, microbicides and antiviral therapies. The foundation for this work is ABL's extensive experience isolating mucosal lymphocytes from non human primates (NHP) and mouse models. ABL has optimized the isolation of NHP intraepithelial lymphocytes from the mucosa of the small intestine, rectum, and vagina. We can also and the isolate mucosal lamina propria lymphocytes from the mucosa of the small intestine, rectum and vagina either during necropsy surgeries or mucosal pinch biopsies. Our capabilities also include NHP mucosal wash collections such as Bronchoalveolar lavages, vaginal washes, rectal washes, swabs, and wicks. For Mouse models protocols for mucosal wash, saliva, serum, vaginal secretions and fecal pellet collection has been optimized along with cell collection capabilities that include intestine, spleen, lymph nodes, lungs and genital tract lymphocytes.
On the samples collected our testing capabilties include:
We regularly develop and optimize custom assays to meet our client's needs.
